I also would really like to continue using Nvenc MP4 to record if at all possible.ĭxtory - no Nvenc / does do dual audio - ok with Vegas This is invaluable when collaborating as I balance Skype audio etc in post. I need to be able to record game and voice on separate tracks.

Oh, also Vegas has not updated their software to work with newer VGA cards, I can no longer use my GPU to render eat. After a few days of doing this extra time consuming step for every video, I then found out that a non-Nvenc MP4 Action! file will open ok - but I really like the Nvenc files as they help with FPS when recording. I have been getting around this by using Machete to strip one of the audio tracks, then using Handbrake to render the video file, then importing that and the audio file into Vegas. This is ok most of the time but sometimes I want to just record in 720p/30.

It seems that Nvidia have updated their Nvenc part of the drivers so any MP4 Nvenc files from Action! are no longer correctly recognized in Vegas unless they are 1080p/60. Last week I upgraded my VGA card from a GTX 760 to a GTX 970 - great for the games, but it's been a nightmare for everything else. (To get Vegas to recognize the Action files I needed to rename a file but this has worked flawlessly for months) I have been quiet happily recording MP4 Nvenc files with Action!, having my game audio & voice audio on two separate tracks which I can then drop into Sony Vegas 13. I am in desperate need of help and this may be a problem that others here have overcome.
